Isauro Meza is a strategic public affairs and community engagement professional dedicated to advancing equitable opportunities for historically underserved communities. As a Latino professional, his work is deeply informed by his lived experiences and commitment to expanding access to resources, education, and civic participation for communities of color. He earned his degree in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he developed a strong foundation in understanding social systems and the structural barriers that impact marginalized communities.

Isauro brings a strong track record of advancing high-impact initiatives across government and nonprofit sectors, with expertise in external affairs, stakeholder engagement, executive advisory support, and cross-sector partnership development. Most recently, he served as External Affairs Manager at the California Volunteers following his appointment by Gavin Newsom. In this role, he led statewide engagement strategies and cultivated partnerships across government, philanthropy, and community organizations to advance initiatives focused on youth empowerment, higher education access, climate action, and service.

Previously, Isauro worked at Lift to Rise, where he helped coordinate cross-sector responses to housing instability during the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting families to critical housing and financial resources. Earlier in his career at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, he directed strategic outreach and advocacy initiatives, mobilizing volunteers and strengthening community coalitions to expand access to essential health services.

Currently serving as Strategic Initiatives Manager within the Office of the CEO, Isauro leads cross-functional projects that advance high-priority organizational objectives while helping position the firm’s consulting work to drive strategic growth.

Outside of work, Isauro enjoys traveling, exploring the arts, practicing hot yoga, and playing tennis. He also loves spending time with his dogs and discovering new places and experiences that inspire connection and creativity.
